I think I've got wise to blatant fake accounts. One thing I have noticed is older accounts with fairly old veris, making contact. Wondering if maybe being hacked is possible Am I over thinking things maybe

Anyone wish to share their thoughts please

Best tips to out the more sophisticated fakers also welcomed

Thanks

The most sophisticated fakers will always get in under the radar. Fortunately most fakers on fab aren't that sophisticated.

Use a reverse image search on photos although a lot of people do have their pictures on other sites so that isn't foolproof.

If a woman wants to talk sexy immediately.

If the photos are blurry .

If a couple make contact but she is always out shopping, at her mother's or in the shower.

If the guy in a couple wants to meet first to "make sure his wife will like you" .

None of these things mean a profile is definitely take but you should be aware that they're indicators.

As to old profiles being hacked I can't see the point, it's free to join why would anyone to go the trouble of using an old profile?

Hey

Thanks for the reply.

My thoughts too but there appears to be a significant number of accounts with pics veris etc but old. Like 2 or 3 year old veris.

One last night, a woman wanted to chat on kik, refused cam, offered live pic.

I'm aware there are apps that will make it appear live, I went with with it. However their biggest fuck up was the pic they sent. Quite clearly working behind a pub bar with lights and bottles on shelves and glass fronted fridge below....obviously under current circumstances....

My veris show a 2/3 year gap. I took time out to get married etc then met a couple of people again and now taking a longer break because I’m pregnant (and covid19 obvs!)

I’ve always been cautious who I add to Kik, and can tell a lot about someone by the way they talk. Just try and read between the lines of what they’re saying to work out intention and if you arrange a meet, do it in a public place with no pressure or expectations to play on a first meet.

I think the best thing to do is to avoid engaging with anyone you feel might not be genuine. It saves a lot of time and stress. If you think someone's take cut contact immediately and report the profile of there's evidence e.g. pictures lifted from elsewhere. There could be loads of reasons for old verifications though.

Ok from a different perceptive: Men ask to live cam chat, I'm either at work, with others or got my just out of bed look. I don't want to cam on the drop of a hat. So bit unfair people accusing me being fake. I have afew verifications and still some men don't trust verifications. I simply think why start anything with the doubtful mindset. I find it really off putting when they do.

That’s fine as an excuse but we would then suggest trying to arrange a mutual time for cam chat. Obviously a fake profile will avoid setting a time.

It is just simply reading between the lines and going with gut instinct. For example last night contacted by couple, nice photos, good write up but been on site over a year and no verification. first messages general chit chat then immediately trying to turn the messages into graphic sex chat. Avoid directly answering and we had a chuckle as the messages got weirder and weirder.

These are maybe people who haven't used their account in a long time, but are now bored at home during lockdown, so they're back for a nosey.

Appreciate the replies. Getting used to the obvious things to spot now. Puts a bit of a downer on things having to be wary of profiles.

The one last night was definetely a fake or perhaps hacked. I managed to catch them out. So there's definetely a truth in being careful.of established profiles with old veris

If a profile is old and has verifications but hasn't had any verifications for say a year I would question why. I would ask them.

We haven't been verified for 9 months, does that make us fake?

Also if a guy wants to know what you would do to his wife/girlfriend when you meet he will masturbate until he cums as you tell him then you will never hear from him again.

Some people only want 1 or 2 veris to how they are real. They are not interested in collecting veris.

Most are obvious but there's some from verified couple's who are no longer together but the male still has access to the account, He will use the couple status to arrange meets making excuses for the female's absence at the last minute, She probably has no idea what's happening.

We haven't played for a short while prior to the enforced break, just were busy travelling and working hard for a few months I guess, however reading this I realise our verifications are pretty old now.

This is for 2 reasons,

1. After playing for many years, you simply don't keep bothering to ask for them and sadly are often too lazy to do any for others, unless requested, for the same reason.

2. We often play in clubs rather than personal meets and then we are often completely unaware of others Fab names, sometimes their actual names, so couldn't verify even if we wanted to.

So there's not always something dodgy about profiles with old reviews.

Anyway, back to another Groundhog day.

I've plenty of verifications, but there are some big gaps. Some over a year.

Some people I've met didn't verify me,

Some have left the site and some were repeated meets.

Plus I'm an older single male who is lucky to get half a dozen meets in a year

I've got an older account with old veris so I don't think that is a definite sign

But I do think that a % of couples accounts with old veris are potentially ones where they aren't together now and it's just a guy getting his rocks off.

A Gut feeling is there for a reason and it's wise to listen to it.

I took time away fro fab as my father died and as a single parent with a decent job, sometimes life comes first.

Ive had fun with couples who have asked not to be verified... Some couples and women would rather have a few veries to say that they are genuine but dont want to come across as being hardcore.

I can’t speak for all older accounts with older verifications... But we’ve been around for some time now, and haven’t met anyone in two years.

We’ve taken a break from swinging for a while, as plenty of couples do. But we’ve kept our profile so that when we start again, we don’t have to start from scratch on here.

I’d imagine there are lots of people who do the same
