I'm looking at this from the point of being a sub myself and I'll try to explain. It is easier to have a dom/sub relationship with someone other than your partner/spouse because you can let yourself go and try new things without worrying about being judged. I realised what I'd been doing.

I'd been asking Victoria to reassure me, or to help me find ways to reassure myself, that it would be OK.

I wasn't questioning the idea of it. I was just trying to satisfy myself that I could agree to Sophie doing this.

Shit... was I really going to do this?

Well... not before I'd checked Sophie's pill packet for a few days.

"I wouldn't worry about it too much just yet," Victoria said, pushing her plate of barely-touched food away. "I told you that Alex wanted to organise a gangbang for me, but the most he ever managed was those three guys in Liverpool. He kept getting let down by people."

She smiled. "It's not as easy to organise as you'd think. Even for a guy like Alex. You have to find suitable people first... And Alex won't just let anyone take part, that guy from the auction was a one off, believe me. I agree with you that he was testing her there."

She continued, and you have to get people who agree to prove that they are clean, and then you have to co-ordinate everyone, find a date when they are all free, which could be weeks, or months, ahead..."

Victoria shook her head. "It's not easy. So I think you have a bit of time to get your head around it yet."

I said that I didn't know if that sounded worse though. If I said OK, then I thought I'd probably want her to get it over and done with.

Victoria weighed that up. "Well if she is being genuine about just trying a few more things with Alex, then I guess the sooner she does it, the sooner she might be done with him."

I looked at Victoria for a few seconds, "Do you think she is being genuine? Am I always going to be waiting for her to do a few more things?"

She shook her head. "I can't answer that. Not for Sophie. All I know is that Alex is very persuasive. I'd almost say addictive. I told you that I'd got to a stage with him where I was ready for something else, but it wasn't until he found someone else that he was prepared to let me go. Until then he kept finding ways to keep me under his control."

I considered this. "So it might not just be a question of when Sophie is done with Alex, it might also be when Alex is done with Sophie..."

Victoria paused, perhaps realising that I might not want to hear that. She tried to reassure me. "I'm sure Sophie is stronger than me though. And she has a husband. Don't forget that. You could probably stop this whenever you wanted... If you wanted..."

She suddenly went quiet, she looked at me and I could tell she was thinking about something.

"What about me?" She said it quietly, an air of fatalism around the question, as if she knew the answer before she asked it. "If...when, Sophie is finished with Alex. Where do I stand then? Are you done with me too?"

Victoria might have thought she knew the answer to that question. I certainly didn't. I know I'd thought there might be a scenario where Sophie finished with Alex and I could still see Victoria. But I hadn't even attempted to think about how that would work. Especially if I was hoping that Sophie and I began to do things together.

Would there be any time for Victoria then? Maybe if I arranged meets for Sophie? Perhaps...

And if I was going to start arranging things for Victoria, to try and be more like Alex for Sophie, then maybe I could still do that? Perhaps...

And maybe Sophie wouldn't link her finishing with Alex with me finishing with Victoria. After all, she'd just said that I could continue having bareback sex with her, whether Sophie did it or not.

Maybe... Perhaps...

At the back of my mind I knew there was an inherent selfishness in those thoughts. That I was trying to have my cake and eat it.

But isn't that just what Alex would do? Why should I feel guilty about that. He wouldn't.

Alex wouldn't be thinking about what Sophie would accept. Hoping that she would be OK with him continuing to see Victoria. He would just do it and Sophie would be grateful for everything else he gave her.

After all, she would still be getting a lot.

Be more Alex, I said to myself. That should be my new mantra.

I shook my head at Victoria. "I don't see why. The two things aren't necessarily connected. I'm sure Sophie is still going to want meets and experiences with other men. So she will have to accept me seeing you won't she."

Victoria looked a little surprised. I thought maybe it was my tone, the way I'd said that. Perhaps she was seeing a bit of Alex in me for the first time.

But it was what I'd said, not how I'd said it. "You'd still let Sophie carry on having meets?"

"Yes," I said, "but I'd arrange them for her." And then I added, a little too quickly and clumsily, "we need to start doing that... using that profile we set up."

Victoria raised her eyebrows. "You mean so you can practice being a Dom for Sophie... which might mean that you can't then see me anymore."

Shit. I kept forgetting how sharp she was underneath her girlie, chaotic facade.

All I could think to say was "No... it's not like that. I want to do that for you. That's what you want isn't it? For me to be more like a Dom for you."

She eyed me, her expression completely neutral. "Well just remember, I might like being used, but I don't like being used..." and she emphasised the last word. And I knew the first reference was to sex. But the second wasn't.

Then her face softened a touch and she said "It's a good job I like you..."

At that point we had to finish up. I paid the bill and we headed back to our respective workplaces. The last part of the conversation had been about our plans for the week. Victoria, still a bit unsettled by the situation with Vanessa asked if we could leave any plans until the weekend.

And then, as a parting comment, just so things were OK between us, she said "Maybe we can look at our profile together then and arrange something for next week or the week after?" she kissed me on the cheek and said "I would like that."

I spent the afternoon doing some stats for a report that I'd put off for as long as I could, and got home around half past five, as usual. I had half an hour before Sophie came back, plenty of time to do what I had to do.

I went upstairs to the bedroom to change, but the first thing I did was go to Sophie's bedside unit. I opened the top drawer. There was the green and white pill packet. I picked it up and opened it, sliding the plastic tray out.

The last hole punched through the foil layer on top was next to "Tues". Today. I knew Sophie, methodical and organised as ever would be using the day markings on the foil to keep track of the pills she took. It looked like she was still taking them.

I realised that I was happy about that.

Was that because Sophie was telling me the truth about being on the pill, or because that meant I could say 'yes' to her?

I suspected it was more the latter than the former.

But not yet, I thought. I needed to check again tomorrow, to see if Wednesday's pill was used. Just to be doubly sure.

But, after that, was there anything to stop me saying yes... If I wanted to...

Struggling to remember the last time Steve actually had any form of physical interaction with Victoria, a very strange Dom/sub relationship.

Definitely think Victoria is already pregnant as she didn't touch her food. She surely can't be that stressed about Vanessa that it's making her that ill! If it is then it's obvious that her true feelings lie with Vanessa and its her she really wants to be with.

With Sophie, the mere fact Alex ever mentioned that he wants to breed her means Steve needs to put an immediate stop her seeing him.

We've already seen that Alex won't stop till he gets what he wants.

I don't think she wants to go back to him. She also just said she doesn't like being used, so I don't think she'd be too happy being a bargaining chip for Steve to get Sophie back. But this story is full of all sorts of twists so who knows, can't wait to find out
