When writing erotic fiction do you prefer it to be all about the sex or to have some drama in it?

Hi.

It depends on what the story is. Some need.

So do you think for background purposes to put it in?

Definitely background.

There's only so much you describe about your lips touching her aroused nipples as your fingers slide between her lips and feel how wet she is. Your fingers gripping her hair tightly as she engulfs your throbbing cock and flicks her tongue teasing you. How tight her pussy grips tour cock as it throbs deeply inside her.

The buildup, the situation and everything that happens around the sex to me is what makes a story arousing to read.

Write a lot of it upfront before posting. Find natural start and end points for each 'chapter'. End on a cliffhanger if you can, leave us wanting more, needing to know what happens next.

I won't be looking to post on here. I'm looking to actually publish erotic fiction but just doing my research first and I'll be writing under a pen name. Thank you for all the advice

I usually have a backstory to add to the eroticism. Still kinda new to writing erotic fiction.

I am very new to this too and don't get much time for reading myself so not too sure where to begin. I remember reading a mills and boon as a teen that my friend found, it was one of her mum's, and I don't want to write anything like that.

Tension is the main ingredient and so many people miss this out.

Try and put some short stories up on some of the free publishing websites and see what reaction you get.

I've been writing erotic fiction for years and it's really helped me improve.

Just posted my first story after reading erotic literature for years. It all about the build up and setting. Nothing worse than a quick sex scene. A story is like foreplay it should turn you on long before you get to the best bit.

I'm thinking you write a decent story, but put the sex parts in as it works. I've written about infidelity, abduction, hitchhiking, poetry, and threesomes. You have got to tell a cool story to keep everyone's interest. Overall though, write for yourself. Just go it! You can always edit it as you go!
