When Sam came back she was wearing a vest and short skirt. She had big Hollywood style sunglasses on and had a cap on top of her blond hair. Mary grinned. We will have to make sure he gets one to really take his mind off work. And laughed as Sam agreed. We are definitely gonna enjoy the beach today. They turned the radio on and sang along to the latest music as they drove.
Half an hour later, Mary glanced at Sam who had gone quiet. She was dozing, with a slight smile on her face. Mary wondered what she was thinking of, to look so peaceful and cute. She was looking forward to this day. Putting her hand on Sam's knee to wake her she said I can see the tower. Sam woke with a smile and slight stretch. She noticed that Mary had kept her hand on her knee, just a little longer than really necessary. Inside, Sam smiled at this confirmation of what she had already suspected. She could tell it was going to be a very interesting day. |
