Lingerie - trashy or sophisticated?

My former partner and I always felt that the cheaper, trashier, most tacky lingerie was far more sexy than sophisticated, expensive lingerie. Even if it was very sexy.

My ex just felt that wearing crotchless, red, nylon knickers and matching peephole bra (among other outfits and underwear sets) made her feel more...slutty and dirty.

Of course, she loved to feel slutty and dirty, so maybe that is key.

Anyway, I still prefer tacky, trashy undies. I wonder if people here, couples or even single women, have an opinion and would be like to share their thoughts?

There is no doubt that the "trashy" look can be quite alluring, but to my mind (and eyes), I much prefer a bit more of sophistication in my lingerie. It's like wrapping paper......No point in wrapping a present in newspaper, instead use something sparkling and shiny.

However, as in most things, each to their own and enjoy.
