Is it just me being a grumpy old git or do others find it frustrating that when they are following a story they notice the OP has posted something and log on to that story to find its just the OP thanking someone for liking or commenting on the story.

I guess they are just being polite and perhaps I should be doing the same with my tales?

When I write a story I do thank everyone who comments because it's kind of them to read it because they didn't have to

That's fair enough, I guess I'm a grumpy git then

Personally I look forward to OP posting the next installment of a good story and feel a bit let down when it's just another thank you for liking my story.

I was following a really good story on here but with all the thank you replies the story only had about 6/175 parts and the forum was full.

Will be keen to hear what others think?
