You stand with palms upon the tiles the water cascading down your back, the temperature as high as you can possibly bear in some vein attempt to wash thoughts of her from your mind, but it does nothing. Still you stand savoring the intense heat your brain doing somersaults.

She is not yours and you know at this time she is with another. Your accepting of this but the thought still still causes a fire inside

You turn off the shower and step out. The cold air hits you like a hammer in contrast to the heat of the water and the hairs on your body react as you walk naked to look in the mirror

Your fingers touch the little graze under your bottom lip that was caused by her teeth. It's starting to fade now and your a little saddened by this as you have worn it like a badge of honour. Little details of your last coming together play across your mind. Her struggle, her fight, her passion and ultimately her surrender.

You study your face in the mirror, same eyes, same nose, same lips. There is nothing in your features that would indicate any change in you, but something is definitely different

The time you have known her has been short how could one person affect such a change in you, you look and appear the same as you always have and people still see the same person they always have, but you know inside that something has been unleashed, something raw and powerful, something primeval that yearns to be set free.

As you continue to look in the mirror a thought slams into your head pushing all others aside.
