There are some guys out there that haven't settled...have nieces and nephews and feel fatherhood is slipping from them...and like the idea, who want to be father. Maybe he secretly has a bond with you but can't seem to relay that verbally/emotionally. It is unusual but not totally as there are many people that become single parents out of a relationship and by choice.
