Has something similar happened to others where afterwards you think to yourself how cud you have been so stupid to miss the signals?

I was on one of my very first work trips in my early 20's. Was on a small regional airline for first connecting flight so plane was one of the small single aisle jobs, requiring only one cabin crew (she was about my age). I was in the first row with empty seat next to me. I fell asleep but woke awhile later. I was surprised to see she was sitting now sitting next to me thumbing thru my book (some desperately boring non-fiction historical, prob put me to sleep in the first place). We chatted for a bit more, she seemed to offer lots of detail about her schedule & routine.

It was only years later I realised I think I missed a huge chance for something - sexy layover or other future meets while she wud stop in my city. Still wonder what would have become of it if anything...
