I went out to meet a friend in London. We spent the day moving through the city—talking, sharing snacks, driving from one end of London to the other and back again, letting the hours blur together.

By the time we reached Alexandra Palace, the skyline stretched out beneath us, the city glowing in the distance. Everything felt quiet up there, almost suspended.

Her husband was nearby, not involved in the conversation, but close enough to see everything.
