I've been so curious about this world for a long time. A recent work trip to Amsterdam I thought I'd take the opportunity for a late night walk. Wondered round the red light district had a few beers, then thought I'd head home. Just as I got close I walked past a busy bar, and thought I'd go in for one last beer.

I swiftly realised it was a gay bar as I stood outside and my nerves kicked in. But thought I've just got to go for it. Strolled down the stairs, through a curtain. The vibe was amAzing from the minute I walked in, a bar with hot topless guys working, hot guys everywhere, really busy, gay porn playing on a large screen. I found it hard to keep my jaw from dropping and tried to act cool.

I went to the bar and grabbed a drink, subtly watching the hardcore porn on the TV while checking out the room..

I drank my first drink to ease the nerves then went outside for a fresh air break. Composing myself. Not really believing that id even stepped through that door. Fear kicked in and thought I should leave, then a voice behind me said "hey". I turned around and a guy who must have been in his late fifties was standing there smiling.

He was a really friendly funny gentleman. And we chatted away for a while outside, before he asked if I wanted another drink, I nodded and followed him back inside through the curtain. The thrill in my stomach overtaking my head.
