As the weeks went on it seemed that Tina and I were well synchronised with our tanning salon visits.

She was the first one to break the ice with, “fancy seeing you here”. The next time I saw her it was, “hello Mr five o’clock”. As the weeks went on the banter increased. The ante was upped one particular Monday when I said, “how’s your white bits coming along”. Her reply set the tone for further flirtations, “I don’t have any white bits, do you”.

At this point she could tell I was stuck for a reply, but it was the little lingering glance as she climbed the stairs when they called her name to the two cubicle upstairs.

When I started at the tanning salon I presumed the cubicles had tanning beds in. I was a newbie to it all. Downstairs this was the case, but upstairs the two cubicles had upright standing tanning capsules.
