The Tanning Salon

I had never been to a tanning salon before until a few months ago. The prospect of my first beach holiday in a long time had inspired me to get a base tan. I got into a routine of going straight to the salon, after finishing at the office at 5 o’clock on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. It seemed I was not the only one who had this routine.

Tina (as her ID badge hanging round her neck told me), was another five o’clock finisher, from another office nearby, with the same idea as me. A quick few mins on a sun bed before the commute home.

I’d spotted her straight away. Was it the glossy black heels, or the perfectly cut blue business suits with tight short skirts? Was it easy the friendly chatter she had with the salon receptionist? She was stunning and after the first few times of seeing her in the waiting area I was hooked. I looked forward to my three times weekly 5 o’clock Tina fix.
