After moving to a small village and being befriended by the locals I used to spend my Friday evenings in the equivalent of the Woolpack.

One evening they had some music on and it was busier than normal. Stood at the bar a much older couple started to talk to me and we had a good laugh. I said I was going outside for a smoke (everyone smoked in those days) and the lady said she’d come too.
