You know the one thing that happened to me that really got me interested. And Eurekas and place il never ever forget.
Growing up, there was this lady, familiar face in the area, a warm presence that never felt distant, yet never crossed into something truly personal. She was the kind of woman you respected without question, a family friend in the loose sense of the word someone you stopped and spoke to, exchanged pleasantries with, admired for her kindness, and then continued on with your life. She was just there, woven into the backdrop of my childhood and young adulthood, never really changing.
Until one day, years later, she did.
Eureka was a place far removed from my usual surroundings. Set in Kent, it was a world of steam and water, of bare skin and fleeting connections, of people indulging in their most primal instincts. The heat of the saunas mixed with the hum of conversation, bodies moving effortlessly between the pools, the hot tubs, the private corners of the club. I was new to it then, still feeling out the energy, still learning how to be comfortable in a place where nothing was hidden.
I stepped into the shower cubicle, letting the warm water wash over me, and then she walked in.
For a moment, time faltered. I recognized her instantly. She looked at me, just as surprised, her eyes widening ever so slightly before settling into the warm, familiar expression she always had. That caring, knowing smile.
"Hi J, how are you?" her voice just the same and kind as always.
Everything about the moment was surreal. There we were, naked, standing under the same water, yet she was completely at ease, as if this was just another ordinary interaction. My mind scrambled for something to say.
"Ooh, I've never been here before… Someone told me it was good," I offered.
She laughed lightly, nodding. "Oh, it's lovely. I'm a member. If it's a hot day, I like to come and relax."
The casualness of it all somehow made it even more surreal. We chatted, the initial awkwardness dissolving into familiarity, the conversation flowing effortlessly. The other guy in the shower left, and it was just us, two people reconnecting in a setting neither of us ever could have imagined years ago.
Later, in the pool, we found ourselves pressed against the side, talking for what felt like forever. She spoke about the lifestyle, how she had dipped in and out of it over the years. I made her laugh. She leaned into me. And suddenly, we were close so close that I could feel everything, her skin, her boobs pressed onto me. The way our bodies fit together so naturally.
I hadn’t ever seen her like that before. I had never even considered her in that way. And yet, there we were. Naked with her arms around me talking and joking And it felt right.
Hours later, after lingering in each other’s presence, we went to a room and had the best most enjoyable sex i had ever had up to that point in my life. It wasn't awkward, I'd seen her lots of times since in a normal way.
Really surreal.
