As others have said, being naked is a joy in itself regardless of where and when you do this.
Naturism for me becomes something entirely different when you are in a social situation such as a beach, club or holiday destination though.
On top of the whole - it's just nice to be naked because being naked is fun thing - being around other people who are of the same mind gives the experience much more depth.
Naturists don't on the whole 'stare' at each other, but they do 'look' at each other... and they appreciate it when they see someone they like the look of. Just like we all do when clothed, if we are all honest with ourselves.
If you ever hear a naturist say that they just don't notice anything about anyone else's body or pay much attention to whether they are male or female even, they are talking absolute rubbish.
It's true that naturists wont make any judgement about how someone else looks or be unduly surprised by anything they see, but you can't just shut off the human biological instinct to assess every single person who crosses your path or the hard wired impulse that decides if you might have a degree of attraction, or not.
As such, whenever you have a group of naturists you have a situation where in a low key but very real way, you have a number of people who are constantly checking each other out. Men do it. Women do it.
In addition, a sizeable percentage of naturists are swingers these days. In all honesty, this has probably been the case since before swinging was given the name swinging.
As such, the swinger naturists are very definitely assessing everyone firstly to try and establish if they might also be a swinger and then if they fancy them and might be open to an approach. Even if they aren't thinking this at any given moment then they will very definitely be enjoying the view even if only in their heads.
Frankly, I love being in the position of being able to freely observe attractive women of all ages being completely un self conscious about being naked and totally un concerned that anyone else might be looking at them while they are.
Similarly, I simply do not care if anyone sees me naked. If I notice that someone is taking a look at me - particularly if female - then I find this really very rewarding.
It's not exactly exhibitionism ... or rather it isn't ALWAYS exhibitionism as some people do definitely go out of their way to ensure people pay attention to them. However, you cannot enjoy naturism in social situations without possessing a certain amount exhibitionist tendencies.
This gives the whole experience of naturism a sense of eroticism that just hums away in the background whenever I am at a beach or resort etc. Not that I go around with a boner all day long - far from it, no naturist does - but there is definitely a 'sexy tension' in the air anywhere you find groups of naturists.
This isn't just a male perspective either. I've spoken to many female naturists who tell me that aside from the freedom from judgement, feeling of liberation and enjoyment they get from not having to squeeze themselves into clothes to achieve a specific result has, they often spend much of the time somewhat aroused and love the fact that it levels the playing field for the appreciation of nakedness... Sure, take a good look at my pussy or tits if you want, here they are, but I'll look right back and rate your pathetic cock and smile at you while i'm doing it!
