I logged in and found another message from them

‘Hi, this is Sally, I hope we can chat, here’s my number……. I’m free after 4pm if you’d like to chat’

I looked up at the clock, its was 4.45pm

I had intended to delete and block them but curiosity was getting the better of me, I put the number into my phone and sat thinking

Her voice was very quiet and she was obviously very nervous

‘Can we meet?’ She asked ‘just to chat, it’s not something I want to do over the phone’

Alarm bells rang ‘I don’t think so’ I told her

‘Please’ she said quickly

‘Please, five minutes, that’s all I ask, your local to us and I can meet you anywhere tomorrow after work, just five minutes please’

I paused to think

‘You’ve got my number, please, five minutes, hear us out, if it’s a no, it’s ok’ she seemed to be pleading now

‘I’ll think about it’ I told her and hanged up the phone
