As much as Jane declined my initial offer, she was gracious and did say if she ever needed any assistance then she would reach out.
I heard nothing from Jane for weeks, until one day, I finished work and had received a message in the afternoon asking if I was free to help her build some furniture.

Struggling for words I agreed, "Just let me know when you need me".
I took the short walk up her pathway to the road, when I heard Jane call my name. I turned around thinking I had left something behind.
