Intense moments of connection

Ok, so I've quite a few things I've always wanted to write about, like past experiences (with consent), fleeting moments, even some fantasies. But Ive never put them properly out there.

So please don't lambast me too heavily.

Has anyone else ever experienced those fleeting connections with someone, those brief, intense shared moments. Be it only a few minutes.

Ive not had many, like I could count them on one hand, after I had an accident and had lost a few fingers.

But Ill explain the one I experienced yesterday.

Of all places, this one happened in a queue at a theme park. Now I know there's nowhere that you can escape to or hide in those queues. It's always awkward as no-one wants to look at each other or make eye contact.

I was stood there, idly looking around and being nosey, when yes, I was drawn to a woman, right behind me in the queue, wearing a navy blue smart jumpsuit kind of outfit. A fantastic figure and she had that air of confidence about her.

She had brunette hair, was maybe late 30's. slim and petite and around 5ft5.

She took care of herself and you could see she dressed well too.

She stood with her husband and young son.

So immediately, this was wrong. I should have been behaving, but our minds are immensely powerful tools and sometimes, we can't control them as we think we can.

Now of course, I couldn't help but steal some glances, which then lead to my mind wandering.

She must have noticed me looking, but for once, it wasn't one of those awkward moments, she just looked at me and held eye contact, until we both had to look away in fear of getting caught.

This went on for about 10 minutes. It was like electricity. My heart was in my throat and I had that intense feeling you get in your chest.

I was hooked. Totally taken and lost in that excitement. Those sneaked glances and desire.

We took as many dared glances. Sometimes not catching each others looks, but when we did, oh the feeling.

As the queue proceeded to move onwards, we reached a point where there was a choice of destiny for the said ride. Our path was green, theirs red. The end I felt..... but as the queue meandered through the dark corridor, we all ended up waiting closely in those holding pens.

It was then when I felt an absolute surge of something deep in my chest.

I looked across, and there, between two people, as if the world around had descended into a darker blur, looking directly into my eyes, she stood. That slight smile.

I was gone, lost in that feeling. I instantly knew the rest of the day and for maybe years, Id remember that moment.

Now this theme park, in the Netherlands, is pretty big and of course, thousands of people are coming and going. But its didn't stop me looking all day, in the hope that Id catch one more glimpse.

These moments don't happen often, but can change how you think and feel in an instant and will stay with you for a very long time.
