How do you like to read the stories?

I don't mean in the bath, or on the train.

Do you prefer, one long story? Or split up, spread over a few days?

For me, I like to read them in one sitting.

Me too, when they're broken up there's lots of comments and it takes a while to find the actual tale.

Me too, I dont mind if the updates are regular and frequent because it then adds to the suspense but what I hate the most (and is becoming more frequent) is people who start a potentially great story with a few fantastic updates, and gather themselves a real following, but then they appear to lose interest and the updates get less frequent and often just a single sentence, or just stop in mid story. I appreciate that it isnt easy to write a good story and takes a lot of time and effort but if you dont think you can finish the story off then please dont start.

While I’ve been on fab I have written several stories and although personally I like to start a story and read it right through when you’re writing while here it’s difficult, it takes time to write a chapter not just the physical writing but the thinking part first, so if you break it up into parts You don’t suffer burn out and you keep your story interesting

Yeah, as much together as possible, I don't mind separating chapters etc.. bit small paragraphs spread across weeks is frustrating

My next story, "Ann agrees to be “free use” whore for a BBC bull", is a bit of a long one, but I will post it as one.

Enjoy.

It all depends. If all one incident, as one is good, but if a series of events it is nice to have it broken into chapters.

I would prefer them as a decent chunk though, not a sentence or two at a time, but some contributors are not natural writers, although they have a good story, so the main thing is they share in whatever way works best for them, and that we encourage them.

In one go, i would like maybe a tick option to like or follow, rather than one paragraph then mutiple irrelevant emojis or comments

I prefer it in one if possible I know it's hard as we all have a separate life outside of fabs.

I used to do mine all in one go but if no one commented for a day it fell so far down the list no one seemed to read it. The last two I have broken down and more people have read them. They are all ‘Miss Jones’ tales but each is also a stand alone encounter. I still write pretty long segments though even when broken down.

I would be interested on whether people think i should go back to doing them all in one block or as i am doing the latest one.

Thanks for the feed back. I have read your stories and think they are amazing. I have tried to up my game and improve mine. I tend to make a comment myself so that it bumps it back to the top of the list. Mind you, so many people post each day, they soon fall down the order like you say.

Good digestible segments....preferable true. Obviously regularity of posting depends on OP.

Everyone has a life outside of fab.

I don't like them dragging on for days and weeks, I get fed up and lose interest.

In segments yes as it adds to the suspence but timed is better than drawn out over days as like others my attention span is short and when they get to a week of posting one segment a day I loose interest

Preferably in one go with the odd update but sometimes the long wait for updates are a pain as you end up losing the story especially if it's a good one. No point writing a few lines then ask do you want me to continue!!!!

It makes it much easier to read when you post a full chapter but with the way this forum works if you were to do that it would only appear in the first page of the forums for a few hours so only a few people get to see it and read it.

Really sucks but in order to gather a following and have enough people see it you have to keep posting piece by piece to make sure it stays on the first page.

Unless all writers were to collaborate and plan when we post stories. But that seems impossible to achieve.

Maybe someone should gather the best stories and put it into a book lol

If it's really long do chapters but start a new thread for each chapter so not constantly scrolling down for next bit
