Chapter 7
The front door of the cottage slamming shut woke me up.
It was just after 9am, Jess wasn’t next to me and I heard the toilet flush in the loo.
I looked out the bedroom window and saw Kelly walking away up the gravel drive.

I headed through to the kitchen. Jess, Simon and Lauren were already sat round the kitchen island having Coffee. All a little hungover. Steve was cheerily strutting around the kitchen preparing a fry up for everyone.
“Morning” I said to all grabbing a cup of coffee. “How is everyone?” I asked
“We’re all ok.” Lauren answered “But Rob is a little worse for wear. Currently in the bathroom chundering, thinks he’s got food poisoning.”
“Haha funny name for a hangover!” Steve said. “Never could handle his drink.”
“No I think it might be.” Lauren replied, she looked at me and silently mouthed “Both ends.”
Hayley came into the kitchen and sat down on the sofa.

Steve turned to face everyone chuckling to himself.

“Alright”. “Right what we doing today then?” He asked changing the subject.
We chatted for a bit, had breakfast, and settled on a plan to go for a walk along the beach.
We began clearing up the breakfast things and people started getting ready.
