Dave went into the office, put his laptop down and made his way to the coffee machine, he switched it on and waited for it to boot up.

Dave was a bit dissapointed that the agency had sent a man, he was somehow hoping that a young voluptous female would be joining the team, someone who, if he played his cards right could manipulate and end up getting his end away with. Still with his brief conversation with James in the car park he seemed keen enough, a little green but importantly someone Dave could use to his own ends, if James is a yes man what a perfect replacement for Victoria. Plus the fact Dave didnt think he was a particular handsome guy that would distract the ladies.

The coffee machine, gurgled, hissed and made all sorts of noises till the digital display on the front pronounced it was all set and ready to use. Dave put his mug under the spout and pressed a couple of buttons, the coffee beans were grounded and a dark trickle of liquid started to pour into his mug.

He heard James come in, an average looking guy, not particularly handsome as Dave had assumed but not ugly either, James was Mr average, average height, weight, next door neighbour type of guy.

Morning James coffee or tea?

Dave watched, James walk into bis office he could see he was quite nervous just the type Dave liked, keep them on their fucking toes.

Just as Dave took James into the kitchen, no one there although they could see food was being prepared.

Oh yeah that feels good, yeah oh fucking hell!

Is what they heard coming from the little dry store in the corner.

Dave gave out a loud cough and it suddenly fell silent.

James already had the impression this seemed a bit of a mad house, The Tuns could be a strange olace but this was something else.

He swiped the screen, her pic of her and Rachel came up again with the security keypad, he keyed in the numbers it lit up, he was in.

His heart beated faster

He went to her message box, who was the first name that come up?

He tapped into it hoping to find the info he needed.

He read the messages back and forth, but nothing revealing it looked like Vicki wasnt saying much

Then he looked at her other messages

He looked into her whatsapp and saw videos and messages from Brian, he felt sick, it seemed Emily was getting more attention than he realised.

He switched her phone off and shoved it back in her coat, he felt angry, he booted the little chair by her table sending it to the floor, he needed to calm down before he went back.

He rubbed his face with his hands his face felt hot from his rising blood pressure, his breathing heavy, he picked the chair backnup andctried to compose himself, when he was calm enough he took a deep breath and grabbed the door handle

Vicki finished her muesli and cup of tea and placed them in the bowl to wash them up, she ran the water and looked for the washing up liquid, finding it in tbe cupboard under the sink. She looked out of the kitchen window whilst washing up thinking about The Coach she wanted to but couldnt get it out of her mind, she just had this horrible feeling, call it intuition but she suddenly felt Emily was in trouble there was an uneasiness about it.

She wiped her hands and grabbed her phone, she was going to ring but realised Daves rule about work phones so she texted her instead.

Hi Em, you ok? Is everything ok there?

She didnt know why she was waiting for a straight reply Emily would be working, only she wasnt she was laying on the bed sobbing her heart out at Dave ripping her a new arsehole for telling James about Vicki, Emily couldnt believe how mad he was, little did she know it was over the content on her phone he didnt give a fuck about who she told about Vicki she would be gone soon anyway.

Vicki put her phone down and dried her breakfast bowl and mug and put them back in the cupboard.

She promised Linda she would pay for her own food, she may aswell do the shopping this morning, she didnt like going through other peoples draws but she needed a pen for her shopping list. She pulled a couple of drawers open, odds and sods but no pens or pencil, She opened amother drawer argh great, there was a pen but it was tucked into the spine of a little red notebook, she pulled it out, it caught on the drawer front, she grabbed the pen, the notebook fell onto the floor. She bent down to pick it up, it had fallen on its back with the pages open.

She looked at the open page

Vicki frowned there seemed to be a lot of outgoings to Tom for his work yet the house looked more like a squat, with little if any maintence work ever being carried out.

She tore out a blank page from the back and sat down and started to write her shopping list.

She now realised the lid of the pen had held the pages open at a particular point like a book mark.

Shit, she finished her list then tucked the pen back down the spine the lid holding a page open at where she guessed it was before then put the book back in the drawer.

Something else didnt sit right with her today...tbc

Emily had cried so much there were no more tears left, shed made a wet patch on the duvet from her teras and dribble, shed have to change it.

She got up wiped her eyes from the toilet roll in the bathroom and proceeded to change the duvet cover, hearing Dave and James pass her door, that was good at least shed be left aline for the rest of the day.

She gathered up the duvet and held it in her arms and made her way back to the store room. She threw it in the laundry basket and pulled a

clean fresh one off the shelf.

She looked at her coat on the back of the door and reached in the pocket for her phone it wasnt in the right one where she always kept it.

She tried the left pocket pulling it out, she was certain it was in the other pocket like it always is. Oh well in her hurry to leave the house and getting caught up with the police maybe she was tired and a little overawed.

She opened it, keying in her code number, ping a message.

Emily felt quite excited its from Vicki

The kitchen door opened it was Tom.
