This is a true story of many years ago.

We lived in a Georgian town house with a small walled garden . My wife was, and still is, into amateur Dramatics and was involved in a play at the time as prompt. It was getting close to production time so I was not surprised that she was late home.

The dog started barking at the back door which was unusual so I went to investigate. I grabbed a torch, security lights were rare in those days.
