Fantasy vs reality

On here and another site I have had some great chats recently. Some are getting up know you chats, some are reconnecting chats and some are fantasy chats.

I never think I have a good imagination but when it comes to fantasy it seems different. Maybe I have got ideas from other people, things I have seen or read.

Whether we admit it or not most of us have fantasies. Not all of them are of the erotic type, some can just be about the life we wished we could lead.

I have read a lot of erotica down the years, online and in book form. I have even written a few erotic tales of my own. Some of what I have read cover things I could not do in real life or I am not the market the erotica was aimed at but still enjoy reading.

When it comes to erotic fantasy most of us know there is a huge difference between fantasy and reality. Some of us try to act out our fantasies in real life. This can be a risky situation as reality may not live up to the fantasy.

There are a few reasons many of my fantasies have stayed as fantasy.

Some are very niche and not sure would find the right people to explore them in real life.

Some are a lot more than I could take in real life. In fantasy I have few to no limits and often don't care about the outcome to me.

Some like others I fear the reality won't match the fantasy.

Some real life restrictions or morals won't let me engage in them in real life (nothing illegal here).

Often though it is down to my shyness, fear, cowardness to give into that side of me.

I have written several stories on here and enjoy reading others, but I always prefer the ones that could be true and this makes my imagination run riot. When I write a story I find it easier to base it on fact and past experience and subsequently, it’s perhaps not as exciting as if it were all fantasy, but one bloke servicing 10 women all night and he still walks away to me is totally fanciful unbelievable and leaves me feeling empty

The ones I used to write were partly based on reality or things wanted to do. As I have not had much sexual experience the stories were boring for some or they were about the sex I wished I was having

But then there is bringing fantasy to life which can be the issue
