What are peoples views of good stories that are cut and pasted from other sites?

Personally, if it’s the same author then I have no issues but there have been a few stories as of late that have been “adapted” before being posted (names changed, etc.)

Should the real credit be directed to the original author / website?

Just curious about everyone else’s views

Personally if they acknowledge it is not their story and give props to the author or at least a nod I'm happy.

Stories I have written have all been based on actual happenings but my last story never had its final instalment because someone else finished it as a post I was a bit put out the writer should do their own

Im not on other sites so i wouldnt have a clue if a story on here was a copy .

Saying that some stories on here i think to myself... ive read that or very similar to that before.

Also the author doesnt matter alot as some stories arnt written through the authors eyes. 1st person 3rd person real story or fiction all makes the difference to me.

But saying that some writers are better than others. And thats not a dig at anyone as i dont even try
