I, and I am sure many others find it very frustrating to get into an ongoing story only to find it abruptly stops without any explanation or reason given.

While it is very understandable that Authors may have other priorities in life such as work, families, orgies, swinger duties, and so on. It would be nice if the Author in question could at least say that there will be a delay for the next installment or why it is ending early.

I hope this criticism is received in the positive way that I give it

Regards: P.

I have left one or two stories unfinished - mainly as there didn’t seem to be much interest in the audience. They might be shit stories but if no one comments, it’s hard to say if people are enjoying it.

This. It's sometime hard to knowing I'm taking it in the right direction and if there isn't much interest I may leave a story.

Sometimes if I've been busy I find it hard to pick the flow up after a while.

But I take on board the criticism and will try and do better.

To:Fittysen,

Perhaps in that situation, it may be a nice idea to make a comment explaining why you have terminated the tale.?

From another Member who wishes to remain anonymous:

I always think that the authors should write the whole story on Word before the start a thread, and then post the installments. Not only would they have the whole story, but they'd also have the benefit of spellcheck to make it more readable.

Sometimes when I write a story I literally can't finish it. I wouldn't claim to be any sort of writer so won't use the term ", writer's block" but the effects are the same.

In my personal opinion writers are sharing their work with us voluntarily, they don't owe us an ending although if you're left on a cliffhanger it can be frustrating

A lot of my stories flow a lot better as I write them and see feedback. Putting them into word beforehand has never worked for me.

There does seem to have been an increasing number of stories stopping recently even the good ones - Does get a bit frustrating/ One fairly recently I think May have just run out of more great scenarios and just wrapped it up quickly which I certainly appreciated - I’m not talking about those where the writer has just been too busy for a while but those that just stop completely - Some have build really good background and adventures getting you well hooked and then stop I hope that is just unfortunate circumstances rather than deliberate ploy to keep readers hanging

The very best authors on here certainly always write in nice bite size chunks and always finish then sometimes come back with new adventures-

Must admit I am guilty of this, as life gets in the way.

That's fair enough, but when the same writer's keep leaving them unfinished then its becomes a proper pain & its although they're doing it deliberately! There are a few on here who post quite a few stories & never finish them. Sometimes starting a new one while the previous one is still hanging unfinished & then also leaving the latest one unfinished!
