We let bloke pretend to be a doctor and as to check her all over as she's had a bad fall removing clothes to check for serious injury it's great fun

Of course it's fun. You can go as far as you like in checkup.

Does help if you have some props, scrubs, examination bench, few props, stethoscope, gloves etc.
