I first met M whilst she was working behind the bar of one of my regular haunts, what got me to notice her was the outfit she was wearing, a sort of casual I’m a horse rider outfit, not to baggy and not to skin tight, just perfect really.
This wasn’t the normal outfit the barmaids I knew there wore, mainly as they were from the town and as I said hello I got a knowing sort of smile, as she recognised a fellow countryside activity participant.
Over the next few weeks we flirted with each other, discovering that we had unknowingly been at the same countryside shows and crossed paths many times in the past.
One night, feeling rather brave after a few pints, I asked for her number and to my surprise she gave it to me with a sexy smile.
I got home and sent a message, saying how she had brightened up my evening with her chat and that her husband was a lucky bloke to have her.
Straight away I got a message back, saying that her husband had no interest in her activities, so much so that he had walked out at the beginning of lockdown and not comeback. She mentioned that it was so nice to chat to someone who was into the same stuff as she was and how she enjoyed the flirting between us.
The messages started to get steamier between us over the next few days, with me complementing her by saying that I wouldn’t have walked out on a body like hers, especially if she still had her riding outfit.
Before long, I plucked the courage up to ask if she fancied a drink, hoping that I would at least get a good night fumble afterwards, the message came back asking me if I fancied a dinner around hers, with the provision that I supplied the wine.
We set the date for the following Friday, and as I walked into the pub on the Thursday night I got the most amazing smile.
As her shift finished, she left me with a playful grin and said that she had to get back to walk the dog. Next thing I know, I’d got a message asking if I fancied joining her, jokingly saying that the dog wanted to interview me and make sure I was suitable. I jumped at the chance and quickly finished my pint, before walking down the road to meet her. The night was cold, and by the time o got there I was shivering, partly through nerves and partly because it was bloody freezing.
We met up and started to walk back to hers, the offer of a coffee soon had me won over, especially as it came with a cheeky wink and grin.
