The time had come that I finally had to agree to a Christmas shopping weekend away.

As a typical guy I always wanted to find the shops that had decent gifts, did the gift wrapping for you and allowed you to get into the pub mid afternoon.

All of a sudden our table for two became a table of four.

We sat down, I was the same side as my missus, but Jake and Daisy had decided they would sit the same side but Daisy would sit facing me and Jake would sit opposite my missus.

Walking around the shops was tough. I’m not the biggest fan of any kind of shopping and although Christmas is supposedly a time for celebrations and spending happy times together, the stress of so many people around was getting to me.

I managed, albeit with a struggle to try the tops on. I didn’t actually pay any attention as to whether I liked them if they fitted well. I just took them out of the changing room and said I’d have them.

Oh you’ve made it very clear what you want! It’s going to be my pleasure to give it to you as well.

The missus and I were almost finished. I text Daisy to say shall we meet at 2pm to go shopping. She replied and it was confirmed.
