I went over the quote and gave her my input. We had a little banter back and forth and she could be really funny but her reputation overshadowed this. I made some coffees and we got chatting when she broke down and told me how she had filed for divorce. How the marriage had been on the rocks for several years and it had finally reached breaking point after 17 years. I was shocked because from the outside it looked like she had the perfect life.

I woke the following morning and had 2 messages from Emma. The second read oh please I hope I haven’t offended you by my text. I replied and said not at all I just had an early night. Like I said yesterday if you need anything I’m happy to help.

The weekend came and went and it was playing on my mind a bit now. It was a non eventful work week with me being out at meetings most of it and it was the wind again. I hadn’t really spoke to Emma and I thought the moment had passed by.
