No one else would volunteer to work in the office on a Saturday so it was just myself and Emma, the office manager, in the building. I thought for a moment, again not looking down at my boss's tanned thighs and cute, sandal-enclosed feet. "Sure, why not. I'm alone for the weekend." I replied. Emma's face lit up in a smile and she grabbed her purse as I went and powered down my computer, grabbing my purse as well.

We walked to the bar instead of taking our cars since it wasn't too far away. I'd never been to this bar before but Emma said the food was great and the drinks were cheap and you didn't have to worry about dudes hitting on you. I laughed at that last part. "Well, that's nice to know." I said, nodding in thanks as she held the door open for me.

Emma was right on all three counts. The food was delicious and a couple of drinks turned into four as she was buying and I didn't want to seem rude. "A couple more of these and I think your trying to get me d*unk to take advantage of me." I said, a bit buzzed as I started on my fourth bloody Mary.

"Wouldn't that be a horrible rumor to have spread around the office." Emma replied, giggling. My eyes got big. "Yeah, I know what is said about me and no, I earned my right to be a manager." she said a bit defensively. "I didn't have to fuck anyone to get there."

I shrugged. "I never believed it anyway. I can tell you're a great manager." Emma smiled in reply, her dimples showing. "Now, the other rumor..." I said without thinking.

"What? That I'm a lesbian?" Emma asked. I nodded, then apologized for bringing it up. "There's no need to apologize." she said. "Most rumors aren't true. Some are." "Um, thanks." I replied, smiling a little. Emma hurried back to the office to get her car and I gave her directions to the house.
