"She's a slut ..... She just doesn't know it yet!" The message read.

"I'm not sure, it doesn't seem right" came the reply.

"I'll leave it with you" he replied. "But this would be the only chance you'll get".

What a situation.

Life has some strange twists and turns.

Chance and circumstance, luck and misfortune, opportunity and hesitation.

Standing at the crossroads of contemplation.

Which way to go?

The app messages lay dormant until daybreak.

Taking a look at the phone, Danny reread them.

He felt uneasy about the scenario her other half was trying to arrange, yet also strangely turned on at the same time.

Her boyfriend, J, had messaged Danny about a month ago and began the conversation.

Out of the blue his phone pinged. An unknown number showed in the app, which Danny thought would be spam.

It wasn't, it was the initial message, the beginning of a plan.

"Hello. I know we don't know each other, but we do have a mutual friend. I wondered if you would be interested being in a little game with her, just a bit of fun, nothing serious, but she mustn't know".

At first it looked like one of those spam messages that pop up through the apps on phones, so it was ignored.

Ten minutes later, another message.

"I know that message must seem strange, but I didn't know how to approach the subject of you flirting and seducing, T****. Please don'think I'm a weirdo, it has taken a lot of courage to get in touch".

With a raised eyebrow, a surprised expression and curiosity, the message was read, then reread.

Staring at the screen, not sure what to type, the reply was sent.

"Hello".

Danny, still unsure about the message he had received, made a black coffee and began wondering what this was all about.

He read through the messages again.

The lady in question was an old friend. They hung out as teenagers, had a bit of a 'thing' for each other, but hadn't really took things any further, apart from a few innocent fumblings.

They bumped into each other now and then and arranged a drink and a catch up when they were free.

There was still an attraction, perhaps more from the memories from when they were younger, but there was still definitely something there.

And now the messages from, J, her fella. Something didn't seem right about it all.

Danny pondered, contemplated, overthank. If there was something he was good at, it was overthinking. A small detail to some, would be monumental to Danny.

Here was a stranger he hadn't met, but had heard about him in conversations with, T.

'Where did he get my number?

'What was this game? What was his game?'

'Should I tell, T?'

'Am I being set up?'

The phone buzzed on the worktop.

Another message..

"She often talks about you, so I thought you'd be the right person. I know all this might seem a bit weird, but I believe I can trust you. Would you be game? I understand if not"

Danny read all the messages together to try and make sense of them.

Surely this is a wind up. I bet they're both laughing on the other end of the phone, or at least him.

Curiosity was playing the game though, even if Danny wasn't ... yet.

Thinking to himself, he thought he'd come straight out with it and ask if he was being wound up. Yeah, the best way was to lay it on the line.

"Oh yes, what does she say?" Was what he found himself sending. Fool! What did you send that for? He scolded his reflection as it stared back from the screen on his phone.

"Is this a wind up?" He sent as a following message.

Straight away, the messages were read and the status showed the sender was typing, then stopped as if thinking, then showed the sender typing again.

"She really likes you. Its not a wind up. I understand if you don't want to be part of it. Sorry for being presumptuous."

Danny didn't know how to respond or what to send back.

He thought.

He overthought.

"So how am I involved in this game? What is the deal? What do you want me to do?" Danny asked.

"I'm not sure how to put it without it seeming a little strange. We talk a lot and share things with each other, like ideas, fantasies, scenarios. The thing is, some of the ideas and fantasies we couldn't do together. That is the strange part. We'd like to try all of the things we discuss, but, we'd have to face each other day after day after we've done them and we'd both feel and be awkward and uncomfortable in the aftermath of it all. I want T**** to experience all her fantasies, for her to have the freedom to do the things she wants, but without the pressure of the day to day things we share between us. An escape if you get what I mean? And to be honest, I'm not into some of the things she wants, but I'd like her to have all those things with someone she trusts".

Danny sat sipping his black coffee.

Do I get it? Do I understand it all? Would I be the right person to fulfill what they both want?

More than that, would it fuck up a close friendship and lose someone forever?
