Having done food delivery's for both a cafe & a evening take away, it always baffled me as to why no matter who I was delivering for at any point of the day or night I've been in some/seen so many awkward situations, more so because they have ordered the food they knowingly know someone has to be knocking on the door within 30 to 60 mins.
