So it's July 2015. A lot has happened in the last 5 years. I met someone, we got married, I've bought a house, my job was going really well, I've been on some incredible holidays and I've also split with my wife and getting a divorce.
To be honest the divorce wasn't a bad thing at all. It set me free from a life of constant rows and gave me a good excuse to find myself. I'm walking through town on a Saturday afternoon and I can hear someone shout my name but as it's so busy I look around but assume it's for someone else. Then I hear it again and I turn around and it's Amy. Now Amy and I have know one another since 2007. We both worked part time in a local supermarket while we were at uni. I knew Amy well because her ex, Malcom, used to work at the same supermarket too and him and I became good mates; we used to go out on the beers together, watch the footy together etc. Over the last few years we spoke less and less for no other reason than life gets in the way and people sometimes drift apart.
Amy was about 5ft 4in, slim, very fit, big boobs, nice bum and she looked after herself. We got talking and she asked how I was doing etc and that we've not seen eachother for ages...2011 infact, on my wedding day! Amy was sad to hear my ex and I had split and explained she and Mal had broken up too. Amy and Mal had an on/off relationship since I knew them so I just assumed this was the same and they'd be back together next week. Amy said they'd split for 2 months and that she didn't want to go back to him. As we were in the middle of town etc she asked if I fancied a proper catch up over coffee so I said I could meet her in about an hour or so, we swapped numbers and went on our way.
We met about an hour later and had coffee and cake. We talked about everything; why my married broke down, why her relationship broke down, holidays, reminiscing about our part time jobs as students etc. She went on to say she knew this time it was over between Mal and her as this time she didn't miss him and if anything, she missed the physical side of things. This got my attention so I said I agreed. I missed the sexual part of a relationship but not my ex, at all. Having split up with my ex 8 months ago I'd been going out and meeting new people and having casual fun but it's not as readily available as if when your in a relationship. We had our coffees and decided to call it a day. As we said our byes and said how great it was to catch up Amy leaned in for a hug and we happened to kiss one another on the cheek and said we should catch up soon. We went out separate ways. |
