"Ok, so after making excuses to leave our friends at comeback bar and finding Gatsby, then waiting in the queue for a few minutes to get served, we are told that because we were were 8 minutes late we couldn't get our 4 free drinks! We got our money back and left to meet our friends at Secrets. Won't be coming back!" We are extremely sorry that you had a disappointing experience at our Club last night. We want Gatsby Club to be welcoming and friendly and will take your comments on board. As a goodwill gesture we would like to offer you 2 extra free drinks next time you come to the Club. Our staff have been instructed to keep to the deadline for admitting guests which we apply to everyone, but I appreciate that when you are on holiday sticking to rules and deadlines can be irritating. | |||

I do think sticking to hard and fast rules like is guaranteed to upset people. Staff should be able to exercise discretion, and to take into account queuing beyond the cut off point. | |||

"Thank you for all of your feedback, which is very much appreciated, so let’s see if we can clear up the confusion about timings! On Saturday night we have a Happy Hour. This means that if you arrive before 11pm each couple will receive 4 drinks (2 per person). After 11pm this is reduced to 2 drinks per couple (1 per person) We have advertised this on our website, but clearly not well enough, and if customers are confused and not aware of this offer,then we are not doing our job properly and will do whatever is necessary to get the message out. We have also added this to our profile on Fabswingers and will advertise Happy Hour on Saturday more widely. We think this is a great offer – and we want you all to enjoy it!!
