Going by reports it’s crazy with a few airports closed and flights being diverted to places like Zaragoza

Hope everything is back to normal soon

Costa Blanca Spain...

Yes it looks like the Costa Blanca got a bit of a pasting. Just seen some photo's of Torrevieja promenade taken this morning and it looked pretty grim.

There are reports of quite heavy snowfall inland as well.

Hadn't heard of any flights affected though.

Just looked on flight radar and there are currently 3 Alicante bound flights that appear to be circling.

"Just looked on flight radar and there are currently 3 Alicante bound flights that appear to be circling. "

The 3 flights are all Ryanair from Barcelona, Dublin, and Billund (Denmark)

All 3 are now lining up to land at Murcia.

"Oh I thought Alicante airport was to be open for 1 today?"

Doesn't look open at the moment.

There are a couple of Alicante bound Jet 2 flights from Newcastle and Manchester that are lining up for Murcia now as well.

"Offft will need to have a look , is the weather just as bad over there today? Saw a benidorm webcam and it looked really cloudy and dull"

It's been named as "Storm Gloria"

We are not in Spain at the moment so the info I'm getting is from friends on FB.

By all accounts there was very heavy rain overnight and winds of 120kph.

Only a few miles inland there was very heavy snowfall with roads blocked and villages cut off.

Some areas are without electricity.

One local radio station is saying that Alicante airport will be closed until tomorrow. So if anyone has a flight today or tomorrow it's worth checking with the airline.

Hi guys we are just inland from Malaga, were in Malaga yesterday and the temperatures are creeping back up again, and the suns out next week, but I would leave it for a month and you would be almost certain of some nice weather and sunshine then, give us a shout if you drop in down here. x
