When you're on holiday, what is your favourite go to beer to have in your apartment fridge?

I always look at all the different varieties but end up picking San Miguel. I'm not a big beer drinker but enjoy a cold one on the balcony or at the pool.

What's your fave?

If you're coming to The Canary Islands there's no doubt...... Tropical or Dorada Especial

San Miguel is quite good , I like Cruz Campo too

Only one that seemed to not agree was Mahou

Yeah Tropical and Dorada are good on tap haven't tried it in cans yet.

Cruz Campo I'll maybe try this time? Wasn't keen on the Mahou either.

Costa Blanca Spain...

Cruzcampo and Estella Damm are both fine in a bottle but on tap they can vary a lot from bar to bar.

With a bar owner who knows what he is doing then Estrella Galicia is a very good drink.

We had a proper ex pub landlord from the UK who came out of retirement to take over a bar near us. He was a miserable git (Aren't they all LOL) but his Galicia was probably the best draught beer I've had in Spain.

San Miguel is always reliable in Spain but if drinking it in the UK it is the "brewed under licence" stuff and it just isn't the same.

Just found El Aguila in Benidorm!! Lovely bottled light beer by Heineken Espana. Can’t even force anything else down that comes out of the taps!! X

Tropical is a good 'drink all day' beer, very light and refreshing and the cans tell you when they are properly chilled, (bit like Coors Light does) always offers on it in Supermarkets too
