Swinging etiquette in Secret

Some folk really haven’t a clue - but last night took the biscuit.

Clothes thrown over the play area then d*unk men stumbling across folk playing, shouting for someone to find their boxers.

Then there’s the groups of cackling fish wives getting fucked by guys with their jeans around their knees, lurching from one hopeful grope to another.

The lockers are five euro - if you’ve spent all your cash getting completely rat arsed (and you did) I’m sure I could give you a fiver ffs,

Girls out of it with drink sprawled over the shared areas.

Single guys coming and going as they wish in the couples area.

A complete lack of class, thought and sexuality.

And you know what ?

We recognised several of them from UK /Fab.

Not happy with either Secret or the demeanour of our fellow swingers.

Form is temporary- class is permanent.

We've found PDI very inconsistent this trip and have pretty much just ended up having our own fun. We were never huge fans of Secrets but the new layout has worsened things(in our opinion) and we literally had one drink and left, the only time we visited(still a week to go) single guys everywhere and no limit to how many. Patricia's had plenty of action going on last night but then they tried(and did) overcharge friends of ours. Imagine,Fun4all and 2x2(which is anything but classy) have all been good(for us). Yumbo tonight, another week to go

These clubs really need to sort the single guys problem out and if it's couples night or couples only area, they should stick to it, otherwise they are misleading their customers.

I went to Secrets last night with a couple who are good friends from back home.

As it was quite early they suggested we all look round at the new layout. Quite different from before I must say.

All three of us did walk into the new 'couples area' but as it was completley empty and no longer has any lockers in there it didn't seem a problem.

However as the male from the couple said, is this couples only now? There is nothing outside like before that says this is a couples area.

They didn't know, I didn't know but we assumed it is? I must point out as a single I did not go in there again after our look round.

Also I didn't see anymore than seven single guys in the club at any one time. So Secrets certainly was not overflowing with single men last night. Most had left by 2am as well.

Please stop saying single males did this and did that. We are not all bad.

There are some great respectful single guys out in PDI this week.

If single guys are not your thing that's fine but please stop tarring us with the same brush.

Heya S, we well know you are one of the good guys and I think most couples can filter out guys that aren't worth meeting easily enough. We've never been big fans of Secrets but our issue has always been the number of local(we think) guys and their pushy nature. We also still believe we had a drink spiked there a couple of years back.

I don't think our comments on here will effect the likes of yourself

I think European guy behaviour in general is completely different. Here and in Cap I've seen it. Even back home now in clubs European single guys have changed dynamics in clubs.

We have been in secrets a few times this week and on Saturday night it was heaving, there was a staff member in the entrance to the couples only area all night stopping single guys entering which was really good, however through the week there was no one on the entrance but we did notice staff keeping an eye out and as soon as single guys went in they were turned out very quickly, not having a go at single guys this was just our observation.

There was a local guy that thought it was acceptable to stroke the wife’s bum whilst we were walking around which she soon put a stop to, its disrespectful and instantly makes us give the individual a wide berth for the rest of the night.

At least from my experience last night, the couples area is very well policed!

I was led in there by a Spanish couple, straight into a private room at the back.

When we finished, the couple left just a minute before me, but I was still told off by staff while I was literally walking out.

My fault I guess, should have put my pants on as quickly as i took them off

We were in Secrets last night and thankfully didn’t see any of that behaviour. Didn’t seem to be an over-presence of single guys either when we were playing and we certainly had a good night there.

Agree what the gentleman said above regards to signage though. How are single guys expected to keep out of somewhere when there is no sign up

Anyway, tonight’s another night to hopefully have more fun

People will always have different experiences, but if clubs make rules, they should be consistent and stick with them

Really didn’t like the new layout but assume it’s not finished. We did look through what we assumed was a viewing or glory hole to see drills and sledge hammers.

It was very hot and I assume we walked into the couples and invited areas but I’m not sure but we did have to ask more than once for two chaps having a gawp to move aside before we could go in.

Then very dark and didn’t feel comfortable.

As far as we could see all the lockers are know Bt the women’s toilets with no privacy, Mrs went for a wee and I waited at a discreet distance and there was a bloke just sitting on the bench having a wank while people were getting changed.

Didn’t feel safe so we left.

We returned recently to Secrets as we have frequented for many years. The staff have all changed no one knew us unlike fun4all where Yvette always makes us welcome. We left after one drink and tbh we used to play here every other night! But we didn’t go back. Recently we prefer to play in resort and we think a lot of others are doing the same particularly in Venus Star

Secrets has been very inconsistent this last couple of years. It used to be you got your wristband and paid on way out, no hassle, people were used to it. Last year, some people were saying you had to pay for drinks, as you bought them, others were saying, no change, wristband, pay on the way out. This year, we were given a wristband AND had to pay for drinks as we got them. I'm wondering is the pay for admission only at weekends, as it was very busy last weekend? Eternity charge €20 for a couple but you get 2 free drinks, so if you choose your free drink wisely, you can almost make that back.

What's next €1 to use the loo??

The Bars upstairs and other Clubs can only benefit, if this is now a set admission charge for Secrets

We fully agree, we used to always recommend secrets to anyone coming out here but now it has joined the 'it's just another club' list.

€20 to get in includes two drinks (not sure if that includes mixers so watch out), if you want to get pissed then you can probably make that money back on a couple of high priced spirits, if you only want a beer or two before playing then it means a €12 entrance fee.

Normally our bill is around €50 which we are happy to pay (yep we enjoy a beer or three after playing lol) so it's not the money that bothers us.

Part of the attraction was that you could flit between the Clubs until you found which one you wanted to settle in?

Brilliant value for money. Last night we had 2 large beers And a Fanta and it was 12 euros including a locker with 2 large towels. Friendly and welcoming, not very busy but a lovely massage - professional set up. Not sure how many people knew about the Friday massage as I had a full body and, For a short time, a 4 hand massage until another guest arrived.

One single man (a local) who was very pushy and almost caused the gents in our party to intervene in a non verbal way, after being told to back off by the ladies and the 'supposed' manager.

Must say we will never go there again, which is a shame as they could have had our custom.

Looking like we will have to grin and bear the charge at secrets. Xx

Also two of the ladies in our group went to the toilet (they were so intimidated they dare not go on their own) and a single bloke tried to push into the ladies, luckily one of our gents spotted him following in and put a stop to that.

It was the first GC club for one couple in our party, they won't be using GC clubs ever again, fortunately they went before the spun throwing wankers as they were so intimidated they didn't want to go through to the playrooms so they didn't have to go through that disgusting experience.

Give Chris his due and before he had lost interest in the club, you would never see that sort of behaviour, he was very strict and I've seen him manhandle troublemakers out, more than once, always felt safe there.

It astounds me how they haven’t been punched by now, I know my hubby’s been close to it before....but they don’t seem perturbed at all!

Perhaps Fab is part of the reason there is now so many single guys on tour and also the guys who post incessantly "always here, live on the island" are getting more plentiful? We've rarely found any of the local guys respectful towards the ladies...1, maybe 2, at most. Chatting to a couple of the really decent single guys we know, who come here on holiday, THEY are getting a tough time because of the actions of others, lets not forget there are some really nice guys out here too.

Years ago, the rise of Net Groups/Forums killed the Dogging Scene locally, as boy racers, nosey parkers and dozens of guys turned up, approaching everyone, until Police, newspapers, Councils took action.....is PDI going the same way?

We're already talking about staying in, in the evenings, when we are back at La Mirage, in April. We did a bit of it when we stayed there, earlier this year and to be frank, had as much fun there, as anywhere in Cita. I think it's obvious some people aren't coming out in the evenings from Venus Star either?

Sad that it comes to this...

Think you could be right. Have to say majority of non resident single guys, we have met, have been very respectful and sociable. The local 'single' guys seem entitled, because they have paid a few euros to get into the clubs. There used to be a few nice locals, get in 2x2, but last time we were there, they weren't even about.

Part of the PDI experience was flitting between the different Clubs....it's definitely not what it was 2/3 years ago

How do a lot of people ease nerves? They drink alcohol...bigger measures, cheaper prices, the alcohol kicks in, they drink more....

We enjoy our drink, this is what we do when we socialise..the nights we plan to go out to play, we don't drink that much but sometimes when we go out and enjoy a drink, play happens. There is no right way/wrong way of doing things but drink will always be there on the Swinging scene, especially in PDI

We love a drink - its part of our week long escape whilst in GC.

it’s the drinking to excess that’s the issue.

Interestingly it’s never ever been an issue in Cap D’Agde and I suspect that’s because the French don’t tolerate it in a social setting. Anyone going to the Cap clubs pissed will find it an unrewarding experience

Reading all that, and got a bit put off of going to club alone (female here), we go every year together and we never had such a bad experience. I am going with my mam for few nights in the start of November, and was planning to sneak out for one night after she is asleep lol, but now i think i won't

We've been to PDI twice this year and had a Awesome time in the clubs ( Secrets included) and had no bad experiences and in 10 days time we will be back in the clubs....so try them yourselves and make up your own mind

There are 2 clubs in the Nilo centre, over the motorway and 2x2 club is in la Sandia centre. So something for everyone

Definitely we will go by, doubt that is that bad everyday, we are never put out by what we read here, we are only put out if we go in a club and is either filthy dirty or there are unpleasant people.

We always say, don't let one bad experience put you off and try somewhere twice before you decide so by all means go give 2x2 a try. We were at Secrets most nights last week and had a great time. Single guys there were respectful and well behaved in the main and we had not issues there. We have been to 2x2 many times before but the experience we encountered on Friday night will probably mean us never returning. We were one of the other couples that experienced that disgusting behaviour. They guy in question was lucky not to be knocked out, but we did the sensible thing and just left. Thankfully it didn’t put a dampener on our night too much as we had a great night afterwards at the Yumbo Karaoke bar till 4:30, lol.

We have never had a problem in any of the clubs apart from 2x2 on a non couples night. So We only ever go on Mondays and it’s always been fine. Think the charges in Secrets are because people get in there at 1am buy one drink, go off to play , then go home! We have often wondered how they ever made money! E20 with 2 drink inc sounds v reasonable to us frankly ! Anyway we are out in 10 days time so we shall see ...

Secrets has always been a favourite of ours after trying all the other clubs. We've never had a problem with single guys, yes they follow you around but a polite no and they disperse. It's usually UK guys that lack respect.

We visited last month and liked the changes to the club. We noticed on the busier nights a member of staff guarding the couples only room and turning guys away. Due to this we observed a reduction in single guys of all nationalities.

We have always found the staff happy and engaging but in September we found them to be less engaging and difficult to get a smile from some.

From what I understand (3rd hand info from xemployee) single guys are no longer allowed into the couples area even if invited to the private room. Not sure if there are private rooms in the other areas? There is a 20 euro charge for couples includes 1 drink each, still cheaper than this country's entry to clubs. The idea for changing the club layout came from Cap as owners visited this year.

We are there again in December so hopefully the changes will be completed and it will be less chaotic. Hopefully the Brits will behave and show respect to others using the club.

We've always found this the best club spot fingers crossed ...... but as someone else said we all have our preferences so just try for yourself. Also remember..... not all nights are the same!

We visited secrets last night and must say the changes are a vast improvement...€20 for entry and 2 drinks is only €2.50 more than the same drinks in fun4all. The couples area is now huge and well guarded, with several different areas and private rooms and the hot tub is now couples only as well. There is also a caged area which is fun. The dance floor is much bigger and they have some sexy entertainers. We didn’t previously rate this club but it is on our favourites list now!

it is highly likely we had a worse experience, due to the transition...if so, Secrets timing sucks, as it was undoubtedly the busiest 2 weeks
