Just got back from a 2 week break to Venus Star and have to say very disappointed .

First thing was the cleaning in the room was not up to scratch but speaking to other people theirs was good so think we got the lazy cleaner.Complained about it and got a lot better.

The biggest complaint about the place is it is like Beirut there at the moment.There is a hell of a lot of building going on with drilling grinding and worst of all some guy right outside our bungalow with a jack hammer.We were not told in advance about this and feel pretty pissed off again had to complain and the guy was stopped.I understand that maintenance has to be done but this was a lot more than that.

The good points the place in a years time will be great just not yet we will stick to La Mirage so much better.

That's a real shame...the main attraction of Venus Star is the peace and relaxation of the resort, so to have a load of building work going on must have been a disaster ??

How were the Happy Hours and the BBQs ?

Currently here in residence at the fab Venus Star....no building work at all of any notice, bar one or two fit boys installing hot tubs in three chalets making little to no noise....love it here...and yesterday's bbq was just amazingly awesome!

We are just back and it was wonderful yes a little upgrades going on but no nuisance at all!! We loved it have a great holiday ya lucky things xx

We are also here now (2nd time) and love it. Only seen maintenance guys. Rooms cleaned daily etc. You guys must have been very unlucky.

Was there with partner in May. Really enjoyed the resort. You must have being unlucky with your two weeks. Going bak November. Looking forward to it.

We will be there the last weekend in November for the first time and then again over the Christmas. Have read some not so positive comments so happy to hear people are enjoying Venus Star, Cannot wait!

Went to the BBQ last year with 3 other couples from LM, Dutch, Danish and German, lots of building work going on then as well. Had a tour of the accommodation, food was good, too many beds though and rather regimented.

All the couples have booked LM again this year so we weren't too impressed with the VS experience.
