Of course they are, and not before time!

It's very easy for resorts that have a virtual monopoly to get complacent and let standards slip - so let's hope the competition means we all benefit.

I do hope they replace the crappy plastic sun loungers round the pool.

My partner nearly broke her neck sucking someone's cock who was lying on one!!

A Norwegian takeover is about to take place and then the formal opening late September we understand. We can’t wait to see the changes at Christmas. It was tired but for atmosphere always knocked spots off Venus star for us

100% correct about the atmosphere at La M. It’s because of the way it’s laid out. The new refurb looks like it has retained that, but upgraded everything. At the end of the day we want ALL

The changes to La Mirage look spot on, we've always enjoyed it there and will return to check out the improvements. Loving the new showers!!

We hope they have upgraded the playrooms as we always found them pretty much unusable with the sliding seats lol! We are currently at Venus Star and we think it is way better mainly because of the staff... Wendy at la mirage was obviously the exception, but the facilities here at Venus would be hard to beat in our opinion and it also doesn’t feel as clique we’ve found it much friendlier

Yep. Agree about Venus Star being more friendly...which of course leads to more sex!!

The staff at Venus Star seem to be so much more into it and actually enjoy being there and interacting with the guests!

All staff at LM very friendly. Maybe it's just how you chat with them. Work really hard in bar areas. Cleaners are all friendly. If you realised what they all get paid nobody would moan about any staff! Take a lot of shit from some visitors.

Yes needed the refurbishment, but better atmosphere always than Venus. Lot of people up their own a.. at Venus, and can be cliquey. Each to their own choices. It would be a sad world if we all liked the same things. Wherever you go we wish you a happy holiday

What I love about this website is we do all like the same things - swinging , being sexually adventurous and not seeing it as weird - which is what the vanilla world think.

Hmmm...., La Mirage has always been 'couple only' so what do you base your statement on?

The bungalows certainly needed revamping, particularly the beds but we have always loved the whole atmosphere at LM, just hope now that the new LM manages to retain that old ambiance.

Venus S, is a great place for BBQ,s but found the environment a bit too cold for our liking.

Absolutely right that La Mirage is couples only...my views are based on staying there with a partner on 2 separate occasions over the last couple of years.

One thing about La Mirage that we did love was the huge bed in our bungalow... we managed to get 6 people onto it.

Maybe we were lucky...we were in 123 and the bed was massive - extremely long and insanely wide!

Bear in mind that some of our guests were not technically on the bed, but leaning onto it.

The practise in most resorts is for twin beds...so Mirage scores highly there.

It is great there is competition now, that is what pushed the revamp along, having stayed at La Mirage since it's first opening at the old site, it still appeals, having stayed at Venus and Venus Star as well both resorts have a certain appeal, so think the saying goes horses for courses. More resorts equals more lovely open minded swingers to be met in GC
