Any recommendations on beaches in Barcelona

Hi guys, looking at getting to the beaches over the summer while I'm here in Barcelona, can someone give me a run down of what to expect at what beach please, thanks in advance

what type of beach do you seek? Avoid barceloneta and ciutadella

Gran Canaria

BCN city beaches are not good:full of people in the sand(you can smell the feets of your towel neighbours lol),morrocan picketpockets and not very clean water. Maybe its ok for tourist people but I cant recommend. My opinión is go 10 milles away North(Villassar, Premiá,San Pol...) or South(Castelldefels,Sitges,Cunit,Calafell...) You can found better beaches in both directions

Thanks for the reply folks, not been on for awhile.

I lived in Castelldefels around ten years ago, absolutely love the place, just trying to find my feet here again in Barcelona, all very much changed since I last lived here.

Found the scene here very quiet too, there any nudist beaches nearby? Very limited on information for here, thank you in advance, Jay
