Been here since Saturday and wall to wall sunshine. The phone says high of 24 and low of 18. But a few days it has felt hotter than that.

It got up to 26/27 degrees according to bar staff for the last couple of days this week. It’s been chilly in the evenings though. I’ve needed a jumper or jacket outside later on

In the German bear bar at Yumbo last night, I met an Englishman who lives here.

The weather is exceptionally warm, he said, because of an air flow from the Sahara.

Kallen, or something like that.

In a very fine light you can see the sandy dust in the air.

He thought it was high 20s.
