It has been tidied up over the years. You're about 2 kms from PDI where the swinging scene is, but cabs are cheap and plentiful. We used to have a daytime walk into PDI along the seafront walkway, it was lovely

It is the same as it is anywhere. Some people meet single guys, some don't. Most clubs limit amount of single guys they let in, there are couples only nights, each club is a different night. Entrance fee about €30.
