Documenting the Spanish swinging scene

Hi Guys, I'm a fab member (on and off for a few years) and I'm also a photographer. I would really like to produce a series of photographs documenting the swinging scene in Spain in the expat towns. I want the work to investigate the idea of escapism and the freedom of living in a different society that is maybe more relaxed when it comes to sex..we brits can be a bit uptight!

Is there anyone living in Spain that might like to spend some time with me and let me photograph them? This isn't for a commercial job, it's an art/documentary project. I can obscure faces if that would make people more comfortable I'm just interested in making some images that avoid the brits abroad cliche and shows the real sides to life living in Spain and they openness of the people who decide to live here.

Anyhoo, I live in Madrid, so do get in touch if you think it could be a good idea and you'd like to be involved.

(I'm not doing this to get laid, I'm a serious artist and my work has been published in the Sunday Times, NYT and more)

Best,

J

Costa Blanca Spain...

There is a small but quite lively scene on the south Costa Blanca (Torrevieja & area) However not all are from the UK.

There are probably around ten to a dozen British swinger couples that actually live here and a similar number who (like us) regularly go back and forth. Then again we are British/German and live in Germany so not sure which camp we would fit into.

Then there are quite a few from other parts of Europe Scandinavians, Dutch, German Etc.

The monthly parties we attend regularly get around 40 - 50 couples which tends to split 50/50 between Spanish locals and international expats/visitors.

I’m taking this to mean you think I’m crazy? I knew it was a long shot but you never know.

Not really our place to do so.

It would be up to them if they wanted to contact you or not.

Quite a few are on here though so you may get something from the thread.
