I see spice in lanzarote is not around anymore

Anyone know what happened?

My understanding was it Went bust. Landlords kept putting up the rent until it was no longer viable. Thomson's wanted it and it's now a family hotel. There was a second option in Lanzarote but the money from backers wasnt enough or forthcoming. No doubt there will be other accounts of events and quite a few people lost bookings and money

It's a big place, must've been difficult to keep traffic coming in to cover the rising rent

There goes the plans of going so

Funny enough i was there a few days ago - well at the site - it is now Aqua apartments . I had a look round - a very nice set up but obviously without the 'Spicey' bits. It struck me how big it was ie how much capacity - must have been hard to keep getting maximum numbers - and a quarter full would just not work..

We met the managers? in Cap d Agde who were advertising there - really wish i had been able to go

We were booked to go there for the opening week of Spice 2. Made our final payment a week before they announced the closure, and we lost every penny
