Hi All. I have recently rented a place in Spain and really want to start learning the language as I can see myself going over back and forth regularly. I have some basics but has anybody any tips on how to improve my Spanish? Apps, tapes etc. Apologies if this thread has been done before or very recently.

Duolingo is free and a decent app for vocabulary although not so great for grammar.

Look online for Language Transfer. It's a very non academic way of learning the language and there are 90 lessons of approximately 10 minutes each.

We've found it really good.

Good luck

If you Google Spanish, there are several free sites to learn from. I talk to hotel staff and pick up phrases. Good way to learn, as it is more informal and colloquial
