It's a beautiful part of the island, not quite as hot as the south but much greener and relaxed. As Paul says though, you need pretty good Spanish.

We were poised to buy a place near Santa Cruz until the Brexit vote. Will wait and see how things pan out before looking again.

There's a nudist beach, Las Gaviotas, which may present opportunities for play!
