"e and wife are going to Alicante in February and want to book up a hotel near to a swinging club in centre of Alicante as we will only be using public transport, any recommendations of places that are actually open" They should all be open but quieter than in the warmer months. Closest to the centre would be "Play Papua" which would only be a short taxi ride away. Next would be "Atrevete" which is at the south end of the city heading towards the airport. We haven't tried either of those two so cannot recommend one way or the other. A bit more upmarket would be "Aditi" but (for us anyway) it attracts a younger crowd and is more like an erotic disco than a full on swinger club. It is located on the N 332 behind Playa San Juan. Our favourite at the moment is Jardin del Eden which although a bit further out shouldn't be too expensive in a taxi. The club is French owned and we think the most welcoming to international visitors. We particularly like the Wednesday afternoon/evening sessions there and we've had a lot of fun. Another would be Cupido. Again a bit further out but reachable by taxi. We only really go there in the summer months when it can be quite good, again we like the early sessions on a Wednesday, but it can be very quiet in the winter. It is worth noting that most Spanish clubs cater for the local market rather than tourists and at the weekends tend to start late. Many do not open until after 10pm (some even later than that) and very little happening until after midnight. The main reason we like the Wednesdays. A quick google of the names above will get you the websites. There are lots of hotels in the city and around Playa San Juan and at that time of year should be quite reasonable. For closer to the better clubs (Aditi, Jardin, and Cupido) you could look at the Avenida Denia and Santa Faz area but they are a bit off the city centre so it would depend on what else you want to do on your trip.

"We ate hoping to move over in the next 18 months. Any up in the north around Javea, Denia? What about cape or Benidorm?" No. Apart from a couple of sex cinema's in Benidorm there is absolutely nothing north of Alicante until you get to Valencia city. (and even that is a bit thin). For swinger clubs on the whole of the Costa Blanca it is Alicante, or there is another decent one in Elche, and a not very good one in Guardamar. The only other thing are the monthly DD parties held at Rafal (Nr Orihuela) That is it.

"We have been to the one in guardamar but will never go again Larson is good but where is the one in Elche" La Arboleda de Similia (LADS) is on the same industrial estate as all the Chinese shoe warehouses. What's "Larson"?
