Are the beach kiosks numbered. Tried checking them out on Google earth but the numbering doesn't make much sense. Where exactly is kiosk 4. Will we recognise it when we see it. We arrive tomorrow and we are excited lol !

There are 2 kiosk 4s

One at playa del Ingles and one at maspalomas.I guess the one you want, where swingers frequent is kiosk 4 maspalomas.

Best and easiest way to get to it is come onto the beach at maspalomas, where the buses n taxis leave you off,and with the sea ahead of you walk to your left with the sea to your right, for about 15 or so.kiosks 4 is the kiosk with all the naturalists nearby and a big 4 on it lol.

Alternatively, come onto the beach at playa del Ingles and turn right with the sea to your left and walk for 50-60 minutes.

It's 5 euros in a taxi to maspalomas light house. Then you get back to PDI walk through the dunes to the big white hotel, through the hotel and your in PDI xc

The kiosk numbers can be confusing. There is no longer a hut 4 at pdi end, think it burnt down. In fact I think it jumps from hut 5 to hut 8, which is about where nudist beach starts on pdi beach. As has been said, get a cab to lighthouse and walk to your left to find hut 4 on maspalomas beach. Have fun!

First time in GC we walked from our hotel the IFA Catarina to Kiosk 4........by the time we got there we felt like we were actors in one of those 'lost in the desert' films

I was in Maspalomas last December for the first time, I walked through the dunes to get to kiosk 4 and it was like walking through the desert lol.

I did finally see the sea and kiosk 4 after a 30 minute hike, it was a good leg workout however.

I'm back again next month and looking forward to doing it again.

"Both"

No it is not!

It is a section of the beach set aside for naturists where people of all persuasions go.

Yet another ill informed comment which does nothing more than attract single males hoping to fill their heads with wank fodder.

Whilst you may enjoy being leered at all day others don't.

I think what people forget is that this is a public beach in a very public area. So are the dunes behind.

Yes it may be a meeting point for some but for other's it is a beach where you sunbathe.

If you decide to wander into the dunes you can walk for ages and see nothing but sand...

Meerkat like men abound in the dune area with heads popping up all over the place...

Considering the beach is public people risk the police being called if they try and do anything risky. ..

Dunas mirador is in maspalomas,it's a 5 Euro taxi ride into Playa del ingles where the clubs are.

It's a nice hotel we stayed there a few years back, just not really within walking distance of anything.there is at least one other couple from the site staying there the same week.

We are in pdi ourselves from the 14th,hopefully see you in the bars/clubs.

The beach is public ,kiosk 4 is a bar where couples can sit at the bar or on their sun bed or towel and chat to like minded people. To some the social side to gran caneria beach life is as important as the sexual .

Exactly as above.... the whole beach is public and can be full of families.... some sections of the beach are naturist and that is one of the areas where kiosk 4 is. We have sunbathed by kiosk 4 previously but you can find yourself next to a family of naturists (and we are talking grandparents / parents and the kids - all naked - have to add that they were not British...??). We prefer to sunbathe naked in the dunes where if the fancy takes us then we can have some fun - or not... just have to learn how to handle the meerkats that appear around every bush - not a problem for seasoned people like ourselves...

Just remember on the beach... not all naturists are swingers....

These kind of posts are so ill-informed! It is naturist but you may find yourself talking to like minded people - that is all! There was a post about someone "talking to a textile in Gold" and them not knowing it "is a swingers hotel". These kind of posts give the idea that you're going onto the set of Caligula when clearly that isn't the case! Rant over!

Since when was gold a swingers hotel?

It's an ordinary vanilla hotel that just happens to be next door to La sandia where 2x2 is ,and is used by swingers as well as others.
