North west

We're stopping in maspalomas, would a rental car be an advantage or is it easy enough to get around with taxis?

we wouldn't be using a car in the evenings because we both want a few drinks.

Just wondering what most people do.

Taxis are plentiful and cheap.

Taxi from Maspalomas to Cita, around €5, if that helps with the sums. There are taxi ranks at most centres, or just wave one down, as it drives past...they show a green light on the roof when available. Taxis are cheap, clean and very safe

MANSFIELD

We always hire a car..

We feel it`s worth it for the transfer to the hotel alone. Car hire is dead cheap.

Not really required for the clubs though.

A trip into the mountain is hairy in a car if you are brave enough..

100% get a car. Easy to hotel and back to airport

You can travel around and see the island as maspalomas is a bit of a dump so good to travel west and then into the mountains

Dump is probably a string word but the villages around are very nice to visit and makes a change from the hotels and concrete.

The problem with having a car on GC is that there's nowhere to park and where you can park it's normally not free, but saying that if you've not been before you will want to visit other places.

Worth checking if your hotel or appartment run a courtesy bus to Maspalomas beach. Airport transfer buses are very cheap. As has been stated taxis are plentiful and reasonable. Buses cheap and also reliable
